Minecraft world won't render far, and won't save?

I was in the middle of a build and the game starting running super slow. I had about 30 tabs open on my internet browser. I closed those out and also closed the game out and restarted it. It was still super slow. I restarted the computer, same problem. I ran malware and virus scans and got it clean.

It finally started running normal speed. I was continuing my build, then I realized that it didn't save some of my progress and had to redo the build. I rebuilt it, saved the game and reentered the game. Again, it didn't save my progress. I tried this several times and I kept opening the world up in the same spot with the same progress not saved.

Also, it only renders about a 100X100 area. Each time I close and reopen the game, it adds a few blocks that it will render.

I tried opening another world and it everything worked perfect. It rendered, and saved my progress.

What in the world is my problem?

Give me instructions as you would a kid. I'm not extremely computer-literate.

Added (1). Since it was happening only to the 1 world, and not to any others I tried to troubleshoot.

I put the world on a flash drive and opened it on another computer with Minecraft installed. The problem persisted. Therefore I know that the problem is with the world and not with the game itself.

Minecraft is breaking down on me?

It seems like every time I play it it gets worse. Ran great first few times, computer was brand nee. Next I got really bad framerate. Now I can't see any blocks, I see the hitbox, sky, paintings, and I can walk around with decent fps. Today I wanted to play with beta 1.5 and there wasn't any text in the menus. I have no idea how a game even breaks like this.

Will the Intel i7 on-board GPU (Intel HD 4600) run these games?

My new computer will have an Intel i7 4770 and 8GB RAM. I'm considering using the on-board graphics of the i7 (which is the HD 4600) for a while before I purchase my GeForce GTX 770. I won't be playing Battlefield 4 or Titanfall until I buy my 770, but I would hope to be able to play Civilization V, Minecraft and at a stretch, Fallout: New Vegas before I get my GPU. Will the Intel HD 4600 run all (or any) of the three games?

Seeking screen recorder?

I have tried So many different screen recorders!
All I want to record, is my friend and I playing minecraft. I want them to be able to hear me, AND him!
Hypercam records fine, but it can only capture my voice, not his. We voice chat over skype.
Open production software captures both of our voices fine, but for some reason its video capturing doesn't seem to work so well for me!
Please help! What I need is pretty simple. I use a headset, that has a microphone attatched.
Also, it needs to be free, or have available downloads. A link would be nice too.
Thanks!

Added (1). Fraps doesn't work for me either, sorry.

Internet not working after putting in a graphics card?

I put a graphics card into my computer because WoW and Minecraft have been running terribly for months. The graphics card was previously in the computer probably about 8+ months ago but for whatever silly reason my dad took the graphics card out. It was working fine.

I'm not very tech savvy but I know how to put in a graphics card, so I put it in (there was previously no graphics card) and when I started my computer, the internet wasn't working. Still isn't.

This is the graphics card http://www.newegg.com/...6814162115
I don't have any of the stuff that came with the card because we got it like 2 years ago.

I troubleshooted the connection problem and this is what it's telling me:
The Intel(R) 82578DC Gigabit Network Connection adapter is experiencing driver- or hardware-related problems.

It doesn't give any solutions. I tried taking the graphics card out and running the computer like I had been before, but the same problem occurred. I don't believe I knocked anything loose while putting the graphics card in. Please help!

And please use simple terms and give easy to understand directions if you're able to help, I don't understand most of the computer terms.

Can NDS emulation damage a computer in the long run?

I like to play Pokemon games such as diamond and pearl and black and white but when ever I start playing, I hear the fan on my computer spin faster and louder. The fan doesn't spin that hard when playing games such as minecraft and I can only remember it spinning that fast when playing games such as Skyrim. I didn't think a DS emulator could be that intensive on my desktop pc, which does have good specs for gaming and can play games such as Skyrim and GTA IV with no problems. The fan spins at around 1700rpm when playing a ds emulator and cpu temps go as high as 63 degress celsius and video card can become quite hot at 55 to 60 degree celsius. I only see these temps when playing Skyrim or Gta IV. My computer has dust in it which I need to clean out. Could this be the reason or is it just because emulation requires more power to run on a pc? Also If I continue to keep playing DS emulation could it damaging in the long run?

Can you user flint and iron to assist in chopping trees in minecraft?

For example let's say you need a lot of wood. And you come across a forest. Yeah you could just take your sweet time chopping each and every single tree with your axe. But couldn't you simply ignite each tree, to make your job easier? Seems way more efficient to me. But I'm concerned that if you burn the wood, nothing will drop for you to collect or mine. Or am i wrong?
