For example let's say you need a lot of wood. And you come across a forest. Yeah you could just take your sweet time chopping each and every single tree with your axe. But couldn't you simply ignite each tree, to make your job easier? Seems way more efficient to me. But I'm concerned that if you burn the wood, nothing will drop for you to collect or mine. Or am i wrong?

It would start a forest fire, the best you would get is some cooked pork from pigs. Trees wouldn't drop anything

I guess it could be effective if you simply want to remove the forest. The trees won't drop any items though.
