Nvidia Display settings unavailable?

So I bought an Alienware M17x R4 2 years ago and recently I got some sort of virus, and so I completely restored it back to factory settings to start over. Unfortunately when I got Minecraft and tried to play it, my fps was very low, and before I used to get about 200 - 300. I found out it was my graphics card and I needed to run it with my Nvidia, when I right clicked on it no option was there like I had before I search the Nvidia control pannell but I got an error saying. ''NVIDIA Display settings are unavailable.'' I did the F2 trick at the start of the loading screen and the BIOS was A08. So I was just wondering how to get the Nvidia back since it disappeared.
( I don't have a strong knowledge of computers so my apologies if I lack in understanding.)
Any help would be brilliant, I've looked a lot and have found other people worrying about this I've tried there solutions but I'm not sure they work.

Looking for a laptop to play browser games and maybe some games that require installation?

I have a chromebook that I never should of bought because I can't play any games on it. I bought it for school and now that I graduated, I no longer need it. I want a laptop to play games like Runescape, Minecraft and maybe some games that require to be installed like games on Steam. I'm looking to spend $400 max and size can be 13-15'. If anyone knows a good laptop that fits my details, I would appericate it.

How to get command block in Minecraft 1.5?

I know the command block first was introduced in Minecraft 1.4
I have checked the Minecraft wiki.Anyways, I'm using 1.5 because it's the only one this texture pack will work on, and I want to know how to make a command block in 1.5

Gaming pc specifications

I'm asking for a gaming computer for my birthday in may and i'm curious on what specifications would be ideal for a good computer. It needs to be powerful obviously as i intend to play variations of minecraft on it like tekkit and yogbox for example. So i would like to know some design specifications for certian parts of the computer to search for so i can specify to my parents what to get; otherwise they'll get something bad. My price range would be around £200-£400 so if you can, a link to a good pc website would be good but if not just the spec.

I'm in need of a minecraft account i'm unable to pay out the *** for it i got a torrent but to be able to log in i need a user name which i can't get unless paying $30 for minecraft so if you have an account you don't use please let me know!
