I'm asking for a gaming computer for my birthday in may and i'm curious on what specifications would be ideal for a good computer. It needs to be powerful obviously as i intend to play variations of minecraft on it like tekkit and yogbox for example. So i would like to know some design specifications for certian parts of the computer to search for so i can specify to my parents what to get; otherwise they'll get something bad. My price range would be around £200-£400 so if you can, a link to a good pc website would be good but if not just the spec.

Unfortunately your budget lets you down. With this you might be better going for a laptop as getting a desktop with a monitor and keyboard etc is going to make your hardware cheaper if your going to spend £400 max. £400 seems a lot of money but its not when it comes to computers.
Go for a Nvdia Geforce GT 650i with an intell i3 processor. This will do the job
