So I bought an Alienware M17x R4 2 years ago and recently I got some sort of virus, and so I completely restored it back to factory settings to start over. Unfortunately when I got Minecraft and tried to play it, my fps was very low, and before I used to get about 200 - 300. I found out it was my graphics card and I needed to run it with my Nvidia, when I right clicked on it no option was there like I had before I search the Nvidia control pannell but I got an error saying. ''NVIDIA Display settings are unavailable.'' I did the F2 trick at the start of the loading screen and the BIOS was A08. So I was just wondering how to get the Nvidia back since it disappeared.
( I don't have a strong knowledge of computers so my apologies if I lack in understanding.)
Any help would be brilliant, I've looked a lot and have found other people worrying about this I've tried there solutions but I'm not sure they work.
Nvidia Display settings unavailable?

This was very. Vague.
Low FPS after reinstalling your computer? Have you downloaded the latest drivers to your graphics card?
Nora
You lost your display driver when you did the restore. Just go to control panel> Programs and Features and remove Nvidia. Then go to http://www.nvidia.com/...lang=en-us and download the right driver after selecting your graphics card. Install it and it should be working like before.
