How to record Minecraft Gameplay?

I'm running Ubuntu unity 12.04. I have tried several video recorders but the videos, when opened on an editing software isn't everything I recorded. (Only part of it)

Buy Fraps, it's the most liked video editing software.

They're also Twitch, Minecraft lets you live stream within game. You're not going to easily find great quality game recording freeware.
