Allocating more memory to minecraft?

When i try to allocate RAM to my minecraft i keep getting errors. I've done it right multiple times but i keep getting java errors. What code do i put in to the java arguments area to allocate 8gb of memory to minecraft?

Games look choppy after upgrading to better harddrive?

Every game either on steam or off the internet downloaded runs at 60fps+ and is a choppy. Now I upgraded my harddrive from a regular 5400 rpm harddrive to a 7200 rpm hybrid drive.
I always use vsync and with it off is worse.

Specs: GTX 660m
i7 3610qm
windows 8
asus laptop

Before i got the new one it was smooth.

The funny part is in my emulator I use it works fine for gamecube games. Than I play minecraft, call of duty, and than steam games do this? How do I fix this?

It won't let me upload a video but it isn't lag it is more like stuttering.

Should I get a Razer Blade Laptop? - 1

I'm in high school and need to get a laptop for collage pretty soon. I need a laptop that is portable for classes but I also want to be able to play games. I'm thinking about the Razer Blade (2013) since it is a good combo of portable and gaming but is it worth the 2000 dollars I would be paying for it? I don't play hardcore games, I just mainly play minecraft and occasionally some other games. I decided on the 2013 version since reviews say is has better battery life than the 2014 ( I can deal with the lower resolution.) I also want to record gaming videos on it so I was wondering if it could handle that too without lag. So is it worth it?

Recommended Minecraft LP Series?

I'm personally interested in having a MC marathon where someone is new to the game and they record their journey through the game, but any LP will do. I enjoy any that is enjoyable and preferably someone who doesn't make it boring as that isn't fun at all obviously.

What are your suggestions for LP's to watch?

I would be using it for everyday things Facebook, YouTube that kind of things, also minecraft and sims would it work with those and what memory(RAM) would be best so it doesn't freeze?
