When choosing to buy a processor, you normally look at the benchmarks to see which one is quicker.

What does it mean if a cpu has a higher single core benchmark and what doe sit mean if it has a higher multicore?

What types of things use single or multicores? Any examples would be great.

It won't even open.
I click on Minecraft and it shows that something is downloading after it finishes it disappears.

Which processor will be better in gaming and media?

My 2 core i5 650 with a H57 chipset motherboard or a 4 core i7 920 with a X58 chipset a friend is offering me for trade

i play games like GTA 5, G-mod, Fallout new vegas and minecraft the i5 has done amazing so far i can play GTA 5 on max settings with 54-60 fps but i wouldn't mind a upgrade

In Minecraft, what are layers and how do I know how deep I'm?

I keep reading things about layers to find diamonds but I don't get it, is it 11 blocks down? I have no clue. I get the lava bullcrap though. I also have no idea what strip mining is and I can't watch videos for some reason…

Will Nintendo ever make minecraft for 3ds and Wii u?

I mean wouldn't it be a great idea? I don't know why they haven't done it yet, it's pretty ridiculous! Considering the fact that minecraft is suitable for everyone, well that's exactly what kind of a company Nintendo are. If anything I think minecraft should be made with Nintendo only and not Microsoft or Sony!

Added (1). Oh so if only mojang still owned minecraft then would there still be a chance of it being on a Nintendo console?

How to build a decent gaming PC out of an old computer?

Heres the Computer itself:

HP Pavilion Slimline s3500f PC
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE Graphics

Probably only like 1gb- 500MB/ 2GB Ram Left

OS: Windows VIsta 64 bit

And AMD Athlon X2 Dual Core Processor

Basically, I would like to be able to play Minecraft PC and such at 60-100FPS when online.(Currently AVG 15-30FPS.)

So I'm curious on what Id need to buy, (Bonus points if price range is under 200$)

If anyone can inform me on what I need and how to install it, I shall award thy 10 points.
