Need a budget light gaming computer?

I'm trying to find a computer atleast under $400 that I can use for light gaming and editing. When I say light gaming I'll mainly just be playing minecraft occasionally and editing gameplays for youtube. I'd prefer a computer with Windows 8.1. And i'm wanting a desktop rather than a laptop. Any feedback would be great, thank you!

How to get a Minecraft account back?

Ok my account wasn't really stolen but I need help to see if I can get it back. I've had my account and can still log in with my password and all so it's fine. But I gave my boyfriend my account so he didn't have to buy it himself and now we're broken up and I just don't feel comfortable with him being able to play it. He hasn't been rude about it and he didn't change my password or anything but i don't want him having that power. Is there anything I can do so that I can kick him off the account so he can't play anymore? I've already changed the password but can he still play? I just don't want him to be able to play it anymore and I'm not sure if there's a way to make him stop being allowed to play the game. Please please please help me if you have a solution! I would be so greatful!

Intel i7 dual core vs quad core?

I have recently been searching for somewhat high-performance laptops. I've been looking and looking, and everytime I find a good deal for decent specs, there's some sort of catch. There was these two laptops I found pretty recently but I'm pondering whether I should purchase one or the other.

Cheaper one
Specs: Intel Core i7-3520m, 2.9 GHz (3rd gen), Dual-Core, 8GB (RAM) 500GB (HDD).
More expensive
Specs: Intel Core i7-2620m, 2.7 GHz (2nd gen), Quad-Core, 8GB RAM, 500 GB HDD.

Everything seemed better for the cheaper one, except the number of cores were not specified. I contacted the seller, and they told me the laptop had only 2 cores. That immediately lowered my hopes. But now I'm starting to think it's actually not that bad. The "more expensive" one is, in terms of specs, worse. I'm not sure if the two extra cores will provide much more of a performance-wise advantage to me. I just need a laptop powerful enough to do mid-range gaming (Counter Strike, Minecraft, Call of Duty, etc.) and frequent surfing of the web. A bit of video processing in there, too. I have already seen multiple other laptops but they didn't fill my needs.
So, which one do you recommend?

Can minecraft give a computer virus?

I had minecraft downloaded into my old laptop. My laptop got a nasty Trojan malware and still isn't fixed. If I get a new laptop, and download minecraft onto that, could a virus be transferred through my minecraft account? Or should I re buy minecraft? Also, does the same apply for a steam account

I only want to run and record Minecraft (POSSIBLY other low demanding games in the future) at 60fps and I don't mind lowering settings a little. Feel free to leave any other suggestions in the same price range or any changes I should make or anything I need to add.
