I'm using 1.7.2 mods and forge, I HAVE the forge for it and the mods for it, I have a mods folder and I have the mod I downloaded in it, but it's not working

How to update outdated Minecraft Mods?

Say I want to use a mod that's made for 1.7.2, but the current Minecraft version is 1.7.9. How could I make the mod work for 1.7.9? Is it possible to do so with a bit of editing in the coding?

Mods not Working on Minecraft?

I've downloaded the "Better Snow Mod" and installed it in minecraft.jar, but it doesn't even show up in the game or in options?

I'm running Vanilla 1.7.9.

Anyone know what could be wrong? This is the first mod I've ever installed on minecraft, but I did the installation step-by-step perfectly.

How to get Minecraft Realistic Texture Packs?

I want texture packs (or mods, i'm not sure which, I'm new.) to make my Minecraft look realistic like i'v see others. With Shadow's and all that jazz. I'm just not sure where, or how, or what to do lol. Any help?

Why won't Magic Launcher work?

I wanted to get the shaders mod and I tried everything but forge wouldn't allow it and kept crashing my game-.- Anyway so I got Magic Launcher to mod my game(by the way it is 1.5.2-if you are wondering), I have quite a few mods that keep me happy and shaders is one of them but because I went to 1.5.2 I had some trouble. Finally though I figured it though and had Magic Launcher logging in and working and all of my mods and forge on there. I had optifine and shaders and when I looked in options it was there, but then when I clicked on one of my worlds it just stayed on the screen loading world and doing nothing else. I escaped from full screen and then the minecraft was just a black screen, I looked everywhere for a solution but I have found nothing. I really want to play with this mod, so please any help would be appreciated.

Minecraft Modding Tutorials?

I want to start modding for minecraft 1.7.2, as that is my forge version, but I can't find any tutorials to get me started. I just want a series of beginner tutorials for coding in minecraft forge, so that I can learn to make my own mod. I've looked everywhere but I can't find a website or video to watch, so that I can start. If you could recommend me a series of videos for beginner minecraft forge modding tutorials for 1.7.2, that would be great.

How does one go about making a complex mod for Minecraft?

Well, me and my friends love playing Strategy, citybuilder, and RTS games. We also love playing Tekkit. I'm beginning to get into learning Python as my first code language, and I had the most amazing idea: an evony inspired mod for minecraft! Unfortunately, I'm unsure if my limited knowledge of Python will help me with a mod for a Javascript based game like minecraft, and I'm not in the mood to learn Javascript and Python at the same time.

So, my question is, simply, how do you do it?

I'm hoping that a program exists that assists with mod-writing (like an Adobe Dreamweaver sort of thing but for writing minecraft mods) but if that isn't a thing, then where could I learn how to create mods for minecraft?

It sounds like a really interesting project for the summer and any information you guys can provide would be greatly appreciated!

Attack of the B-Team modpack isn't working?

I have installed the launcher, Installed all the mods in the pack, and when I press play, The launcher closes, like it did in a tutorial. But Minecraft didn't open. Instead, the launcher reopened. Any solutions? I'm running on Windows XP. I can't get WinRAR or 7Zip. Are those required? Also, When I try with mods, (I used Tinker's Construct) The JSON file that was named "Tinker" was still in the folder and so was a newly added 1.7.2.
