Minecraft adding orespawn mod into hexxit mod?

I'm not at all great with computers, but I recently downloaded a mod for minecraft called Hexxit
which is great because there are so many things you could do.
Most recently, I've been wanting to add more mods to my hexxit mod
I have followed a video:

(loud video)
And I did just as they said, but while the mod folder for the orespawn is in the hexxit mod folder and I try to open my hexxit (through technic)
It would load the mojang screen, but after that it would show a black screen and not the minecraft home screen.
I was thinking that maybe they're not compatible, but I see people playing with these two mods together.
Could it be that one may be outdated?
when I go into hexxit's options menu on technic It says my "build" is on 1.0.10
and when I play the hexxit minecraft it says I have the 1.5.2 version.

Can these games run well on these computer specs?

I was wondering if the following games can run well on these system specs on at least normal settings at a decent FPS rate (stable 30 FPS or above). Games:

Will mods break all of my Minecraft worlds?

I want to start installing mods, but I read somewhere that outdated or broken mods may result in losing the world. However, I just plan to use mods on one of my worlds. So, if one world gets lost, will all of my worlds get lost? Should I back my worlds up just in case?

Give me a modded minecraft Version folder?

I keep trying to install the World Edit and toomanyitems mods, but I keep failing and the game won't even open, the launcher just closes and re-opens itself. Can you guys mod a file for me and give me the link to download?

Is there any Minecraft mods that add a follower/companion (like a human)?

Already tried Orespawn, but I couldn't stand the freaking termites so I uninstalled it.

I'd like a follower to just keep me company in single player. A good pet mod would be great too but I'd rather have a human friend. I have Millenaire and Sim-u-Kraft (on separate profiles) so please mention if any mods would conflict with those.

I'm also looking for good mods in general (for 1.6.4 preferably) as my Minecraft doesn't have very many mods. If you know of any good shaderpacks that don't lag that would be good too, thanks.

What laptop should I buy for school?

As you may know by the title, I'm in the market for a laptop for school (and minecraft) let me tell you what I need

I will be attending my senior year next year (when summer break is over)
After that I will go to college for mechanical engineering, so I figured I better get a laptop now.

Also, I want to be able to play mine craft mod packs, like the big ones with high framerate

So anyway, here is what I can get:

Alienware 18 ($2099)

Or anything under 1300

I wwas thinking some slim laptops, like ultrabooks

Brands I'm interested in buying:
Toshiba
Samsung
Asus
Let me know what you guys think

(I want the Alienware because it has dual graphic cards)

But if I can get a bigger bang for my buck tell me

Can I install Direct X on this video card?

I have this stupid video card that can't play even the simplest games in full FPS (ex. Minecraft)
I really want to get Garry's Mod which requires Direct x 11 or something. I checked if Garry's Mod is compatible with this pc and it said I meet all requirements except my video card is the problem and it doesn't support direct x.

Any suggestion? Please Help!

Real life Mods on Minecraft 1.7.10?

I was looking for a Mod or some names of Mods for servers that allow you to have babies, get drunk, get high, have to pay for bills, transportation, getting a job, and get married. Any one know of any?
