Hi, I have a school tablet with the alternative Minecraft download on it. I want to add mods but usually when I try to download something that ''will make changes to the computer'', it asks for an admin and password. I have tried using my school id and password, but it ''requires higher elevation.'' I want to download WinRar and MC Forge. Thank for replies.
I've been having problems with mc crashing on my mod profiles and on my regular profiles for a few weeks now, but it was becoming so frequent and so unbearable that i decided that maybe it was my outdated graphics driver (intel hd graphics 4000) and so i updated it but now its even worse. The launcher looks like this and so does the text in the actual game and crashes immediately or sometimes holds out and I'm able to play but i'm completely unable to read any text in chat or around me at all. Any help is truly appreciated~ thank you!

I might want to learn Java first and then make simple minecraft mods to get started. Then maybe make more complicated ones. If this is bad for beginners tell me and I will do as you say! I want to be a games programmer/designer so I need to start early!
My friends and I are looking for a hacking sim. We're looking for something legit. Not a game like "Hacker Experience." Before we have used the computercraft mod for minecraft witch is pretty much exactly what we want but we just want the computer and network emulation. Computercraft uses the Lua language with some proprietary functions and we're able to program things like Hashing software, encryption, brute force attacks from scratch. We're competent enough to learn other languages. Essentially what we want is a dumbed down computer emulator with minimal OS(basically just a shell) and the capable of easily send traffic to each other without the trouble of protocols all in a isolated invention. I know that's a lot to ask for but is there anything close?

I've tried adjusting the settings, but nothing works. The game lags really badly for me but i can run other bigger 3a games on my computer. What's the deal?
I can also run minecraft vanilla and with some mods installed in it, but i can't run the hexxit modpack.
The specs are slightly below minimum, but better in some places.

I'm only looking for ~30fps, I've played worse. Fallout 3, loaded with mods, runs great, Minecraft and Mount&Blade Warband run phenomenally, Fallout 4 is a big step up though. Sadly, I can't build a computer, I d just like something to occupy my free time.
