Trying to find a specific Mod/Map for minecraft?

Just trying to find a specific map that I played on minecraft long ago. The map I played was basically a modded sky block. I sadly don't remember all of the mods otherwise I would easily be able to find it. It was an old mod before the new launcher came out, so it would be for a 1.3.5 or so mod. I know for a fact that one of the mods in the mod pack was Thaumcraft 3. I believe that it also came with Treecapiatior or lumberjack most likely the first though. The map was also different to the left and right were two islands one dessert with a nether portal one stone with the end portal. Directly ahead was a third island. On the third island there were custom npcs that you could trade with and get quests from. They were not villagers but reskinned steves. That's really all I can remember from it hopefully someone knows what i'm talking about.

How to get Java JAR file to launch?

Every time I try to download a mod for minecraft forge, I prompts me to "Check the console for possible error messages." Help please and thank you!
