I will use the MacBook Pro for school work, use internet and play minecraft and other casual games and record them, also for listening music recording Xbox 360 gameplay and video editing. If I upgrade the ram it would be of 8gb instead of 4gb. If I upgrade the processor it will be of intel i5 dual core with 2.6GHz turbo boost up to 3.1 instead of i5 dual core with 2.4GHz with turbo boost up to 2.9
What's worth upgrading on a MacBook Pro the processor or ram?
The ram will allow you to multitask more. The difference in those 2 CPUs is pretty small. Both are not good for heavy processing (an i7 is much better) however if you accept the fact that this is going to be a medium use laptop then make it as best as possibly at doing what it can. Since multitasking requires more RAM than CPU use, the 8GB is a better upgrade.
personally though I would stay away from macs unless your school has specifically asked you to get one. Anything a mac can do an PC can do for a much lower price however not all programs that are sometimes used in class are made to run on macs. For the price of a 13 inch macbook pro in canada ($1349) you can also get a 17 inch gaming pc.

the mac has an i5, the asus an i7.
the mac has 4gb of RAM, the asus has 12GB.
the mac has 128 GB of storage, the asus has 1024 with an extra slot to add in another hard drive or a solid state drive.
on top of this, the asus also has a very powerful dedicated graphics card where the mac has to depend on the built in intel graphics chip (which the asus also has), and the Asus has amazing cooling for intense use sessions and a much larger and comfortable screen.
it may seem as if I'm a mac hater but really there are valid reasons for me feeling like this. If you think you appreciate the looks of a mac (macs look amazing) and think that its enough to justify the purchase (or you know that you use mac only software in class) then go for the 8gb RAM upgrade.
