Which game recording device is best?

My friends and I have decided that one of us needs to get a game capture device so I can record some of the moments that we have while playing. So here's what information I can give:

-Price range of $100-250
-Records Xbox gaming (Halo, GTAV, Minecraft, CoD Ghosts, etc)
-Can work with/without a laptop
>Toshiba Satellite L875-S7208
> Intel (R) Core (TM) i3-2370M CPU @ 2.40GHz
>4 GB RAM and 750 GB HD (384 GB remaining)

I've looked at Roxio and Elgato but I'm not sure if there are any better ones and I'm just wanting a 2nd opinion. I have a somewhat decent internet speed (12-18 Mbps download and 1.5 Mbps upload) if that makes a difference.

I'm mainly wanting this, as stated above, to capture moments we have while playing games. Using these videos to create montages or short clips to upload to YouTube. Also to help my clan get more recognition (PMS|H2O Clan - PMS Herobrine here:3).

2nd question! Will this need any extra software, for video editing and whatnot or do these come with it? Please let me know!

I really want to play minecraft adventure maps on my Ps3 edition of minecraft but I can only seem to find xbox or PC downloads. How do I convert them to be compatible with my PS3 and not just come up with corrupted data?

On my mitusubishi tv how do i change the CAM 480i Standard?

Its a mitusubishi HD 1080 people are saying that it is already 1080 and i'm trying to get my xbox to do 4 player for minecraft on my xbox live stuff and i don't know how to turn it on HD and the xbox said that in order for it to be HD i have to put it on 1080i or whatever and i don't know how to do it i've tried google and youtube and asked a few similar questions on here someone PORFESSIONAL or someone good with TVs epcecially Mitsubishi

How to connect to a LAN minecraft world?

My sister and i want to play minecraft together but everytime i try to join her world the connection times out or it doesn't even show her world and then when she tries to join me my world doesn't show
we both have real minecraft accounts and we've managed to play before
and i don't know if this has anything to do with it but i bridged a connection on my laptop so i could connect it to my xbox
please help me i've been trying to play with her for a couple of months and i haven't been able to thanks in advance.

What should I record for my gaming channel?

We mostly record Minecraft and some Call of Duty, but I'm not sure what to do now. I want to keep my subscribers entertained and want to know what to do that will capture their attention the best. We currently have 106 subscribers, and I want to do something that will make them want to keep watching and spreading my videos. Any suggestions? Thanks!
