Why is my player not mining any more in minecraft?

Added (1). My player is capable of everything else but mining, it is as if the game regenerates the grass as quick as it takes for me to destroy.

Minecraft is a computer game. It has nothing to do with Earth science. I'm sorry that your education has failed you such that you would not understand the difference between reality and fiction.
