Please do not tell me to Download the Exe from the minecraft downloads site. I have done that. When it opens up, nothing is shown in the "logs" section.
A friend of mine told me about PortForward. I looked into youtube videos and they just fail at teaching me. Or maybe I'm too dumb to understand it. So if you're going to help me, please, for the love of god, DUMB IT DOWN FOR ME. Step by step. Because nothing I've looked into is working.
I made a Minecraft server for my son (6) and I to play together. So far, everything is fine, except I can't turn off PvP. Under the server properties, I have it set to false, but he is still able to do damage to me. I have restarted the server several times, to no avail. We're using version 1.7.4. I have been able to OP myself and change some other settings, but this one is refusing to let me fix it.
I've been playing on this server for a week or so now, but today I tried to log in and it just told me that I was already logged into the server? I logged out of my minecraft account and tried again, the same message came up: you are already logged into this server. Can anyone help me?
Any reason that I get such low frames? On singleplayer, I can about 130 MAX which I expected a lot more for how much money I spent. On a multiplayer server, I get about 20 which is what I got on my laptop with a AMD A10 APU. Even when I turn all the settings down, I only goes up about 10 frames There can be a reason that my laptop matches my PC's performance. I haven't had the money to buy any big games yet because I just bought this.
Also, yes I have installed all the drivers and I have the latest java.

I want to connect with my friends but my parents won't allow me to have hamachi or port forward. My friend has hamachi. Is there anyway i can connect to him without needing an administrator password for installation?

I was wondering if there was a way that I could make a Minecraft server on which either me or my friends could log on, by themselves, at any time. That way we could always have someone playing who is making progress in the world.

I recently was demoted (not for anything bad, server shut down. ) from my old Moderator position on my old server.

How many hours are you willing to devote to the server each day? Usually any where between 5-10. I'm almost always in the top five player hours on servers I play (granted I usually only play one at a time, but I'm ready to start playing again)
Do you understand the server rules? Well, I'll see them once I join your server. I always follow them, don't worry, as I'm a GENERALLY mature player. (Everyone has their moments right?)
Days a week you can play? Usually all 7, if other IRL activities don't come up. I will always TRY and make an effort to come on at least for a little bit at least.
Ever been banned? Yes, but that was when I was an immature child. Or the time when the Admins lost their minds, but only once, MAYBE twice when it was under my control. Havn't been banned in the past two years, however. I'm a good boy!
Have you been Mod/Admin before? Used to own my own. Co-Owner of my friends' server. Admin of one other. Moderator of 2 others. TMod (JrMod) on 4? Others. May only have been three for the last one. Helper (commands): twice. As you can see, I'm very experienced and always willing to help out with players! ^.^
I love being on multiplayer servers and getting the chance to meet new people. I always help out whenever I can, instead of the ol' "Google it" answer! The only thing I dislike is when "kids" (or act like them at least) are immature and constantly break rules, especially when there's no staff on and they think they can do what they want. Many servers vary in commands Moderators can do, but I'm used to them all. I KNOW when it is appropriate to /tempmute or /tempban compared to /ban or /ban-ip and /warnings and /kickings. Again, very experienced.
I know vanilla survival commands off the top of my head, as well as the basic Bukkit ones. If anyone has questions, lemme know. Towny command is also my cup of tea, but I'm also very experienced at factions. Any other types of servers I learn fast.
