How to join on a 1.7.2 server (MINECRAFT)?

I'm on 1.7.9 in Minecraft, and one of my favorite servers is on 1.7.2. I have seen people get on outdated servers before, but how do I do it?

I can run venila minecraft servers but I can't run modded ones?

When i run my modded server it says reached end if stream on [ip], i used to be able to run minecraft servers and even on hamachi it won't work for modded ones, is my pc restricting me from running the modded ones or can i do something about it, please help its driving me insane, and my pc is very powerful sdo its not hardware, Its strange because i can run venila

While i was in a server i saw that in their hall of fame there were dummies of the original who had the name of the original ID,
They do exactly look like the person i.e. Have the same skin and they are stationary and so they are good for display, but how do you build one of those?

Minecraft lag on strong computer?

So i know i already asked about minecraft but its really annoying me that i'm getting what seems like lag from a slow internet connection when i'm playing offline in single player what's the deal

and i'm not running server Jar just the minecraft.exe from the website Very annoying

Minecraft server owner believes I'm older than I really am and I need to skype him?

The title is self explanatory, but I guess this is kind of important, the owner of a Minecraft server that i got to know and his small little 20 view twitch stream would like to contact me over skype about oping me. Now the problem is that he thinks i'm twenty when I'm really third teen years old. So I guess it would really decrease his thinking in oping me and might change his mind, it's a fairly big server so I don't want that to happen. Now I'm pretty mature when it comes to things like this so I'm not like any little annoying kid on the internet; there are people like me but I'm in a predicament here because I could maintain a good conversation with a twenty year old if needed. I jut don't want him to see me over skype and changed his mind upon seeing me. Any ideas on what i should do or encouragement would be great thanks.

Can't connect to my own minecraft server?

I made a minecraft server so me and my friend could play together, but every time I try to connect to it with localhost, it says "failed to connect to server java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: no further information:" I did the port forwarding it is allowed in the windows firewall, I don't understand why it still isn't working?

Minecraft: Did I do this right?

As I was exploring some newly generated terrain on my survival world, my game started to lag horribly. I decided to allocate more RAM to the game through the launcher as shown here (http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1395030-tutorial-allocate-more-memory-for-minecraft/), but using 1G instead of 2048M (the launcher uses G instead of M). Now that I've done this, my computer's fan is running a lot even when not much is happening in the game and the game just seems to be a bit groggier than before(less FPS, sometimes lags like a server). It made me wonder, did I allocate more memory right, or did I do it wrong? Is this supposed to happen?

Why can't i access properties in local area connection?

You may be wondering why i want to access it, it is because i want to make my own server for minecraft.last time (when my computer is not yet reformatted)i can access it but now(reformatted)i can't.im the only user and i'm the owner.

Why can I not connect to any servers on Minecraft?

Whenever I go onto Minecraft it will not let me on to any server as it says Can't connect to server. Does anyone know how to fix this? It was working fine yesterday.

I can't log onto any Minecraft servers in 1.7.9?

I started playing minecraft again recently and have discovered that i'm unable to play on all but one server (uberminecraft.com). On joining a server it displays the message "loading game" for an abnormally long period of time (around 8 seconds), once on the server the game loads a few chunks in all directions but every player on my screen is frozen and I'm able to break any blocks, despite it being protected, and can run to the edge of the chunk and leap into the void. This occurs for awhile, usually around a minute or so then I'm given the error message "INTERNAL EXCEPTION: IO.NETTY.HANDLER.TIMEOUT.READTIMEOUTEXCEPTION" if i recall correctly.

Yet, I later discovered that early in the morning to around 11 am my Minecraft works fine, and will continue to work the whole day as long as I never leave the server. Even before 11 if I leave a server I can't rejoin it, but I'm able to get on other servers that I usually can't join as long as I don't leave those too.(I mostly play in the afternoons so I don't experience this often).

This makes me think that it may have something to do with my Internet, but there's nothing else wrong with it except this and every other game works fine. I'm very sure the isue is not caused by a faulty plugin as I experienced the same issue on a friends vanilla server.

I stopped playin Minecraft for 3 weeks due to this issue, and now upon return, when I'm kicked I just get a simple "Timed out".

This all occurred on 1.7.8 and 1.7.9.
