How to join on a 1.7.2 server (MINECRAFT)?

I'm on 1.7.9 in Minecraft, and one of my favorite servers is on 1.7.2. I have seen people get on outdated servers before, but how do I do it?

First you need to open %appdata% and take the.minecraft folder and put it on your desktop. Then you load up minecraft click "Edit Profile" then click where it says 1.7.9 and change it to 1.7.2! It will take a while to load, but that is because it is downloading that version.

Open the launcher. Click Edit Profile on the lower left side. Little more than half way down it will say "Use Version:" Select the version you want from the drop down menu. When you want to go back to the latest, make sure you select Latest Version.
