My favorite video game is Minecraft.

So I downloaded OptiFine for my Minecraft and it keeps downloading the OptiFine file as a notepad file and when I go to open it random symbols and letters would show up. I tried clicking on "open with" but the only app in there's notepad and "look for an app in the store". How do I fix this? By the way I'm using Windows 10.
I have gtx 1060 3gb and when i tested minecraft it was only getting 400fps due to low gpu usage, even in skyblock gpu usage is 40-60 with fps 1000-3000. I know it's way too much fps but i just want to see the limit
