What I plan on doing:
-Buy and play games on Steam
-Play and download other online games. (specifically MineCraft)
-Play DVD games. (Spore, Skyrim, Saints Row IV, etc.)
-Record the gameplay footage without lag. (Fully paid Fraps)
Would that specific laptop be able to do all of those with the current specs?
So I'm learning Java and I want to either make games or software with it. I know it can be used to make games (minecraft as an example) but I'm not really sure about software. My knowledge is pretty limited on what Java can be used for (which is why I'm asking this question) so can anyone clear this up for me? Just want to know a list of stuff it can be used to make.
I'm looking to buy a gaming pc as I have no idea how to build on myself.
I would mainly be playing Battlefield 4, but I would play other games like minecraft as well.
My price range would be a maximum of £700, although it could be a little over.
Want to set up a gaming channel (initially minecraft) and I want to do some 'LPing' however I thought it would be better if there were two of us. Aged 13-16 (I'm 14) decent mic, sense of humor, skype, all that jazz. I live in the UK so ideally someone from that kinda time zone.

I've been trying to play minecraft with my Sister, it lets you open to LAN, and it shows it on Multiplayer but when we go into it, it shows the loading screen but then it shows something with Java.
I just want to buy a graphics card that will enable me to play Minecraft without lag on my PC.
So I chose some of the graphics cards on the internet, and want to know which one is more better.
1- POV GF8800 512MB VGA Card
2- XFX HD5450 2GB 64-Bit DDR3 PCIe Graphics Card
3- Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5450 2GB DDR3 Graphic Card
I know they are all cheap but please tell me which one is the best and will they be able to run minecraft properly.

I'm planning to get an Elgato to record my computer gameplay and Minecraft Note Block Remakes, but the best I can do is 720p now. Do you guys know any good video editors that render in 1080p? I want to be able to edit visuals and audio separately as well. I'm willing to pay!
I was playing feed the beast (minecraft) and went into the twilight portal. I was mapping and looking around and I found another human. I wasn't on LAN or online, but on my mini map it showed a Steve's head icon as this entity. Are there humans or elves or something in the twilight? Because I saw one and as I got closer it ran away. It also had iron legs on and wielded an iron pickaxe, and was looking up at the trees and then at the ground as if it were actually a player! I doubt it was Herobrine.

I have done a lot of research, and I have not found a good answer. I'm thinking about switching over to Windows 8.1, but I don't know if minecraft will work on it. So if you have windows 8.1 and it plays just fine, or you just know it works or doesn't work, let me know.
