Minecraft Not Sensing World?

So, I was playing in a minecraft world with my sister. I then turned off the computer and went to bed, the next day I opened minecraft and saw that my world wasn't available in the singleplayer menu. I went to the minecraft saves directory and I saw the save was still there. Please help I don't know why it won't realize or acknowledge that the save is there.

Also I used a USB flash drive to put the save in the directory of two other computers, and the problem persisted. I have a premium account and have never had a problem like this before.

Why won't my minecraft launcher start up?

Whenever i open it, i adjust the settings then click play, it loads, the screen dissappears and brings me back to the launcher. So i go to Development Console and it says

A fatal error has been detected by the java runtime environment

exception_access_violation (a bunch of random numbers)

Failed to write core dump. Minidumps are not enabled by default on client versions of windows

Looking for a Laptop, but could use

Alright, I like to consider myself pretty tech savvy. But it's almost my birthday and I really would like my own personal laptop. I started looking for one but I don't even know where to start. I know it can't be over 650-700 dollars. I play games like minecraft, occasionally steam, YouTube, netflix, nothing too huge. I've found a lot of good laptops but most are windows 8. And I'm not a huge fan of windows 8. I made the mistake of getting a samsung chrome book last Christmas. It couldn't download anything that wasn't on the chrome web store so it was basically a waste of my money. I need some ideas for laptops that are not super advanced, but not a granny computer. Don't want to waste another laptop so here I'm asking others. I will look up whatever laptops you list and hopefully find the right one to ask for. Thanks in advance, and sorry for the long post!

Is there an official / safe way to clear a computer?

I have a windows 8 touch screen from hp that I got from Sam's Club. I mostly use it for gaming but I also use it for video editing and game design ( unity3d, blender ) but as of about 3 months ago it started running slow and popups ( that are obviously viruses ) come up everywhere. Is there an official way to clear a laptop to where it's like you just got it.

P.S. I got most of my games off Steam but I do have Minecraft. My video editing softwares are on discs so they're fine.

Are there resource packs for minecraft that make blocks look smaller in texture and make you feel like you're big?

Added (1). No no, I mean like make blocks seem like they are in small sizes but they aren't. Like duplicate the texture of the block until there are many. I'll upload an example texture.

Can't scroll down or select worlds in Minecraft?

I use single player for Minecraft on my PC. And it won't let me scroll down on the inventory, or select/scroll when it tells me to choose a world. I can only create new ones. Java is fully updated and so are my browsers and launcher, everything is, but now I can't close a world I worked hard on in fear of not being able to use it. Can anyone help me?

Weird colored windows on computer?

I've downloaded a texture pack for Minecraft, and after I've activated it, all my computer windows changed, and they look like in the picture.
I have no idea why it happened and how to fix it.
I deinstalled the texture pack later, but that didn't help.
Anyone can help?

Getting low FPS in Minecraft?

So I have a pretty good PC, but only get a max of about 55 FPS. I know for some that is pretty good but I think I should be getting a lot more. I have FPS limit on unlimited and all the settings on max with original Minecraft texture pack and 18 gb RAM dedicated to Minecraft. My PC specs are below. How can I get more FPS?
