Is minecraft 1.8 out yet?

Added (1). I had went to some websites and a few had said it was out and other say it isn't. There's also a youtuber with the name Thinknoodles and he mentions in a couple of his videos that he uses 1.8. So I thought I could update it to 1.8 and when I tried it started playing 1.7.10. So if Minecraft 1.8 is out then how do I get it? And if its not then when does it come out

What apps for macs animate from images to video?

I'm trying to animate this little logo thing for myself on this minecraft video i'm planning to upload, I have all the images set and ready, I just need something to convert them to video. I have no idea how to use Flash, so please don't recommend it and I tried "SAM Animations" but that just lowered the quality a lot, it looked terrible.

Why is minecraft lagging on my gaming computer

I would be very greatful if someone could tell me why i'm getting 40-45 fps on minecraft

here are my Pc specs
32 GB ram(i've allocated 10 GB to minecarft)
Nvidia gtx 780 graphics card
i7 processor with 8 cores

i have a shader pack called seus 10.1 ultra on the game

also i can run games like battle field 4 and crysis 3 with ultra graphics with easily more than 60 FPS

i'm not really sure if 40-45 fps is what i should be getting because i'm using a shader, any advice will be appreciated.

I'm having a problem with opera and Skype?

While opera and Skype can't connect to the internet, IE can and also steam and minecraft; I can't figure out what's the issue, I rebooted the router and modem, that didn't work, I do a scan with AVG for viruses and nothing, so, what's the issue here? I have them both allowed through my firewall, fairly certain I have no viruses, so… What's the issue here? If it helps I got time warner cable 15 megabit internet…

What gaming computer do i get?

I've been a console gamer all my life, never played PC. But I really want to play PC games that I don't have access to on a console. I want to get q Mac because i v heard they don't get ma y viruses. But apparently they suck for gaming. I'm a bit afraid to get windows because I know I'll get a virus. If I do as little as to touch a computer it immediately gets a virus. I'm not good with computers as in keeping them virus free and what not. I had my eye on downloading 4 things. Gmod, DayZ, Minecraft, and Fraps. I honestly don't k ow what to do. I want to be a PC gamer but I don't know where to start.

Minecraft not responding for no reason(Read extra detail please)?

I'm playing Minecraft on my laptop which runs Windows 8 but whenever I minimize the game to say google something and when I return to the game, it stops responding. There's no error message or anything in the console. When it stops responding I choose to just close the program and I end up with this error code:
[19:20:41 ERROR]: Game ended with bad state (exit code -805306369)
[19:20:41 INFO]: Ignoring visibility rule and showing launcher due to a game crash
[19:20:41 INFO]: Deleting

Could someone explain what this code means and why I've been experiencing these crashes?
