I can't install mods that are in.zip format on minecraft 1.7.2 forge?

I'm trying to install some mods on minecraft forge 1.7.2 i have installed all of them except one there are 3 mods 2 of them are.jar format the last 1 is.zip format they are all 1.7.2 mods but when i put them all in the mods folder and open minecraft the only mods that are in the mods tab are NEI and chickencore the third 1 (rei's mini map) does not show. Any answers would really help thanks!

I would love a detailed step by step description, but anything like a video or small list will do. I just want to mod Minecraft. FYI I'm not dumb in computer items such as location.

I'm looking for some good games?

I'm looking for some games that aren't too "shooty". I don't want them to be like modern warfare or call of duty or bioshock infinite or any game that is just a kill fest. I really liked half life and minecraft and kinda liked borderlands. I don't really want suggestions for flash games unless they are really good. I want a game that i get hours of gameplay out of. I would take some shooter games but only if it is not too crazy about it. Maybe any free games like s.t.a.l.k.e.r shadow of Chernobyl with the realism mods.

Help finding a high-quality gaming laptop under or around 600$?

Hi, I'm looking for a new laptop to buy in the coming months. Now I know it is quite easy to pick up a laptop today among the literally thousands on the markets, but I'd like to use this one to be able to play minecraft with high quality. That's about the only game I plan to play and knowing the laptop would be able to handle that would be good enough for me and all my other uses of the computer.

I've searched for a while, but there are far too many laptops and recommendations for minecraft system requirements to look through. I play minecraft with a lot mods (usually 40-50) on my current system with a lot of lag. So could someone recommend me a good, reliable laptop capable of handling a well modded minecraft with a moderate to high resolution with a high-frame rate?

Beyond that, the computer must also be very reliable and something capable of lasting, preferably HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba, etc. (or another brand along those lines), and under or around 600$ (550 would be even better), able to Skype, and just handle regular browsing and such on a consistent basis.

Any and all help would be appreciated.

Energy for icbm minecraft mod?

I got the engine and universal electricity mod active in 1.6.4 but where so I get the generators and **** to launch them? I don't have them, if another mod is needed please answer with a link
