Minecraft Mods not working, why?

So, I've downloaded forge and made sure 'Install Client' was ticked. I downloaded a zip file and put it into the mods folder, but when I open Minecraft, I'm able to see the 'Mods' button in the menu where you can chose 'Single Player' and 'Multi Player' and when I click onto 'Mods' only the three initial mods are active. I've followed the 'Install Guide' while doing this, and it isn't a complicated install one like 'Single Player Commands'. I'm so confused about why it isn't working. The person who helps me to make it work will get 5 stars!

The room is 11x11x3 with no lights, and has a 3x3 hole in one corner. It is surrounded by fans to push the mobs into the pit. The light is 0, yet no mobs will spawn. I stand less than 30 blocks away at all times

Free sandbox open world, zombie, multiplayer/ co-op survival games? Like 7 days to die?

Hi, i'm looking for a first or third person 3d open world game where you can build and destroy structures like in minecraft with multiplayer co op to play with friends. I would also like the hostile npcs of the game to be able to destroy the blocks like in 7 days to die and the buildings could collapse, so no floating structures to make it more challenging. Preferably with low specs and low price. Does anyone know any games that fit this description? Please no garrys mod or single player games as an answer. I enjoyed 7 days to die up to a point but it was a little glitchy and minecraft the mobs arent really challenging since they don't destroy your blocks(besides creepers) but they arent dangerous since you can stay inside or build floating structures.

How can I contact 4j studios? I think the only way to fix this is for them to tell me how. This isn't just a regular bug in minecraft. Basically the problem is, I just got minecraft pc and I started off just playing vanilla then I wanted to install some mods (first time ever using them) I installed kovacics mod pack and when I went on to minecraft there were no mobs whatsoever in the world. No hostile mobs or animals. I created multiple new worlds, looked around for ages ad still no animals. I deleted all the mods and the kovacics mod pack and tried installing mods on there own(without a mod pack) I deleted the kovacics profile on minecraft and got a new forge one and downloaded the mod mo creatures. For some reason it wasn't coming up with mo creatures in the mods list in the game and I had installed it correctly and done everything. So anyway I created a new world anyway ad there's still no mobs and animals anywhere. When I pres escape and go to statistics the mobs button is grey and I can't press it. When I go to mod options it says test 1 test 2 disabled in red. What does that mean? The only way I can get mobs is if I spawn them in myself on creative mode or with too many items mod(which I did have installed with kovacics mod pack) the only mobs that are spawning is villagers. So basically everything was working fine them when I installed mods there were no animals or hostile mobs. There are still animals on my vanilla world tho.

Minecraft pc no mobs are spawning?

No mobs (hostile and animals) are spawning in my world. It's a new world I just create to use these mods I jut downloaded. I looked around there are none whatsoever and I have the mo creatures mo installed. I deleted the world and created a new one, still no mobs:/ please help

Minecraft how to disable a mod?

I want to a world without pixelmon and a world with pixelmon so how do disable the pixelmon mod so that I can enable it again when I want to play my pixelmon world without losing progress? Is it possible to do that?

Minecraft forge download error message. You must manually run 1.7.2 first?

I'm trying to download some mods but I need minecraft forge ad it comes up with that message. So how do I run 1.7.2, I have no idea how to change it. I'm new to minecraft pc

Also can I change it back to 1.8 after and still use the mods? It won't mess up my worlds will it?
