Hi, I'm having a hard time deciding between the two MacBooks. I will either buy a stock 13" rMBP with i5 2.4 GHz, 4GB ram, 128GB for $1349 or a upgraded 13" MBA with i7 1.7 GHz, 8GB ram, 128GB for $1349.
I'm a student who will use this for schoolwork and I play light games such as Minecraft, World of Tanks and League of Legends. I can only afford the price range of around $1400 which is why I have to decide between the custom air and stock pro. I'm aware of the pros and cons and I love the thinness, weight, portability and battery life of the air. I like the HDMI port and the retina display on the pro and from what I have read the air's display is "cheap".
My main concern is the processing power. I'm not sure which one would be more efficient. The i5 2.4 GHz, 4gb ram or the i7 1.7GHz, 8gb ram? On geek bench the i7 1.7GHz, 8gb ram gets better scores than the other.
Which one should I get?
