How to download and install Minecraft on a macbook pro?

I'm trying to install minecraft. When i open the app it says i need a Java SE 6 runtime. So in the age that says that it say install Java SE 6 runtime. I clicked it and it say inhalation complete. But when i open minecraft it takes me to the same place
