I find myself getting bored very quickly in survival. I get my supplies, get a lot of coal, iron, etc. I make a house. And after that, I get bored and stop. What are some ways I can stop getting bored.

Why not get a modpack, Feed the Beast, Tekkit and Hexxit are great mod packs that add tons of stuff to the game, if you want it to stay regular minecraft, why not install a map like skyblock.

Automate your farms. Make giant branch mines. Colonize new lands. Go to the nether. Beat the Dragon. Beat the Wither. Make a full diamond block beacon. Make redstone contraptions. Build more houses. Cover giant areas in single types of blocks. (<-- one of my favorites. Find all the biomes. Get insanely far away from everything and come back again. Get maxed-out gear. Etc etc etc etc etc
