Why does Minecraft run in a low framerate?

Why does Minecraft run in a low framerate when I can run TF2 in Medium-High settings in 1366x768 resolution? Is there something I'm missing?

My specifications:

Processor: AMD A6-6310 APU with AMD Radeon R4 Graphics
Video Card 1: AMD Radeon(TM) R4 Graphics
Video Card 2: AMD Radeon R5 M230
RAM: 4GB
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8 (build 9200), 64-bit

WHat Render Distance are you set at? If its too high, its probably slowing everything else down.

Minecraft is very RAM dependant as it is run via Java. You can dedicate more RAM to Minecraft - http://www.minecraftforum.net/...-minecraft

Although I do highly recommend upgrading your RAM, 4GB isn't enough for gaming.
