What's the point of minecraft? Shold I get it?

Being more abstract about it, I guess the answer would be 'to be entertaining and promoting feelings of accomplishment', but I get the impression that's not what your asking, more literal answer would be 'dig holes and build stuff', but thats probably not it either. You more mean what the objective of the game is for the player, right? Minecraft doesn't really have one, there's an endgame 'win condition' in the game which involves finding and defeating a dragon, but that is less 'the point' so much as an option 'quest' that was added for the game for people who need to be told what to do.

The thing about Minecraft is that its a game that's provides only means and never ends, the ends are up to you to decide for yourself. Want to build an uberfortress with skuls that weep lanva, go ahead. Want to build a complicated contraption with boolean inquiry circuitry, go for it. Want to be a homicidal maniac and burn down villages, go right ahead.

And yes, m you should get it, millions of people can't be wromg. Minecraft is a great game.
