I want to make a minecraft server where they can't do anything until they reach a certain boundary then it is exactly like survival. I also want to be able to have protection stones and lockette. I also would like to set a spawn for everyone. What are all the plugins i need and if you have any other suggestions.

It looks like you are making a Survival Server. Ok, these are some essential plugins you need:
-Essentials http://dev.bukkit.org/...ssentials/
Comes with all basic commands, this is well Essential lol
-Lockette http://dev.bukkit.org/.../lockette/
You can lock chests, doors, etc
-World Guard http://dev.bukkit.org/...orldguard/
Use this to protect your spawn, and prevent players from doing things until a certain point.
Essentials has multiple plugins, make sure to install all of them. Also you will need to setup permissions, Group Manager from Essentials works fine.
