What would be the best components for a cheap server?

The primary purpose is for it to be a garry's mod and/or minecraft server for around 6 people. But I may also use it as a media server.

I have sourced a old case which can house a micro atx motherboard and I also have an old GTX 770 to put in though I understand it will be unnecessary.

I have been looking at an Anniversary edition Pentium to be overclocked with some standard crucial RAM. Would a Pentium be okay for my needs or would it be better to have a quad core i5 or a hyperthreaded i3? I picked a more pricey motherboard (Z87M) for the overclocking though this may not be necessary for another processor? Or even the Pentium

How to access a personal home server?

I'm looking to buying a server to keep in my house for minecraft most likely. But servers are very confusing to me and if they don't have a screen how do you access it to like turn the minecraft server on "inside"? If anyone can find a tutorial on how to setup a personal home server for minecraft that would be great!

My Minecraft Field of View is Messed up?

I was playing around with commands in Minecraft and I set my speed to 250. It made my game look really weird, so I wanted to see what it would look like with the Quake Pro FOV, and it looked Really weird. I logged off my world and into a server. I turned my FOV back to normal, (I always have it that way) and it looked different. It was like it was zoomed in or something. I messed around with FOV and it looked normal and 94, but I NEVER have my FOV at that. I really want this to be normal again.

What's wrong with my minecraft server? - 1

I click on it to run it but it opens for about half a second ant then closes.

Added (1). I deleted the server and redownloaded but now it won't even open to reinstall

HOW TO OPEN PORTS ON WINDOWS 8?

I need to open port 25565 on my Windows 8 laptop. I went through firewalls and put it on the accepted list in advanced settings, yet I try one of those port checking websites and it fails to go through. I need it open for minecraft servers but it can't find anything on the internet that matches my problem.

Minecraft crashes at start?

The moment i open the game it crashes and i get a text document with that error message and my pc is fully up to date specs:

AMD A8-6600K 3.9GHz cpu
Amd Radeon R7 200 Series
6gb ram
Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit

I upgraded to windows 10 but then downgraded back to windows 7 now it don't work.

Minecraft- Why do my Item Frames Disappear?

So recently on a semi survival server, I build a shop in survival mode. I put up lots of item frames to display the item being sold. When I go back to my home and come back, some of my item frames have disappeared. Nobody could destroy them, because my shop is still in construction and closed. If anybody knows why and how to fix the problem, please help!
