It depends what kind of mc server it is and it must have a good website etc, and maybe some starting people to get more people on it like voting system etc
maybe you could also try making a video thing of your server and put it on youtube or something i don't know
what version of mc is it
The website has to be attractive and you need to have various stuff to do on the server. Looks are the key. If it looks good, they'll give it a try.
