Give me good minecraft strategies?

Please give me good minecraft strategies.

Well, what do you do when you suddenly wake up in a strange world (assuming that you are playing survival mode)? Perhaps the following:

1) First build a small shelter to protect yourself from anything that could come out at night.

2) If you have time before night, look for food and other basic resources.

3) Start crafting! You can either discover crafting by yourself or look at sites such as http://www.minecraft-craftingguide.com/

4) Once you have the done the above decided what you would like to achieve in the game and work towards that goal. You could travel to the Nether world, The End or just build a great city if you can find villagers. Farming is also fun, but mostly ends up being a lot of work.

Single Player Survival:

In this game mode, i will rather find some ores and coals for a day or two before building any shelter or I would cut lots of woods for my shelter.

After about a few days, I will go mining underground and try to find some caves that connect to another while mining ores and coals along the way. Before you even know, you might find about a stack or two coals and irons.

Later after you had enough of mining. Start to build your shelter, it doesn't have to be so big just make it enough for your bed and chests.

Also don't forget to make a big land of wheat farm for your survival (Hunger), Make it very big so you will have plenty of foods for your survival. (Put fences around it just in case of creepers creeping around the farm.

Watch your Health and Hunger bar constantly!

Multiplayer:

In Multiplayer, find a partner or join a faction (If the server have one). This will help you to survive and won't get killed easily by other player.

Make a discussion with the leader of the faction and tell him that you will just look for ores or woods (These jobs are easy because it doesn't need so much hard work) If you don't like mining or cutting, you can farm or hunt wild Mob or weak players for exp and lots.

If you are starting without the starting chest, immediately punch down a tree. Craft the resulting wood into a crafting bench and then make a wood ax and a wood pickax. Collect your crafting bench and go looking for a hillside to dig into. You might want to use the ax to harvest another few trees, but do not convert the wood yet.

Things to be on the lookout for are: Sheep, Pigs, Cows, Coal and villages. You might not want to kill all the animals you see, but you really need at least three wool, which drop from sheep.

Begin digging into a hillside, preferably one with exposed stone. Don't strip mine, instead go straight in a few squares then expand out. Use the stone to craft a furnace and a stone pickax. Use the old wood pickax as fuel to convert some of your unconverted wood into charcoal. (Skip this if you have coal.) Then make some torches to light your temporary dig site.

When it gets dark get into your lit hideout and close of the entrance with dirt, stone, or wood block (zombies can punch down doors now.) If you have enough wool to craft a bed do so and go to sleep, otherwise just dig out your some more. If you hit a cave complex, seal it off for now.

Once you have your bed, stock up on tools (at least two stone picks) a sword, some food, and lots of torches. You are now equipped to go spelunking.
