Lg g3 32gb heating up and battery is bad?

Well my new lg g3 from amazon.de 32gb gold is like most of the lg g3s, it heats up and it's battery isn't all that, android system has taken 67% of the battery I've used so far, I have no idea why… I've already accessed the hidden menu as many online seem to have posted and turned on high temperature property and rebooted it and what not, but it doesn't seem to have done much. It still gets hot when I play a game, for those specs, the phone should be able to run for example, minecraft pe with everything turned up, but instead it lags a lot. The battery is also drained heavily when I play a game, but as I mentioned, it seems the game isn't as much a problem, the android system is. An example of the battery is, that this morning ( as of now in uk time it's 6pm) I got up at 10:30 am, went on my phone to watch a few youtube videos for like an hour, then the battery was already 88%, I'm aware that my old s2 would have died by then, but I had higher expectations for a 3000 mah battery… I didn't check why, but as I played the walking dead season 2 after downloading it, for about in total 2 hrs, it went down from around 75% to 24%, now I've not touched it since then, but it's now at 20% with nothing open. I'm aware I only got the phone 3 days ago, but it's really frustrating to know I can't play a game or watch a movie on it for too long without the power and volume keys (the warmest area) starting to burn up, so how can I make it less hot and how do I make it perform better

Added (1). As in like both battery wise and power wise with the lagging… I'm considering rooting, mainly to tone down the resolution to 1080p, but I don't know how, so I will probably attempt that with my s2 first. But please help with this topic, thanks!

Look for battery doctor on the play store, also root you're phone, it and it the the best thing you can do on android.

Rooting, flashing a kernel that supports CPU changes, and undervolting would work, but thats a bad solution… To me, it sounds like you actually have a defective unit. I would contact LG or your carrier to get it replaced. That battery life seems far too low.

This phone does get hot, so that will be no different on the new one. Rooting won't really help that ever, its just the way the phone is. Turn off GPS when you aren't using it, and don't smother it with your hand when you're gaming. It will get warm, but it shouldn't be too hot to hold. Download this app: https://play.google.com/...inch.pearl and when it feels like its getting really hot, check the temperature by tapping on Advanced. If it gets above C, take a break and wait for it to cool. That will probably only happen when playing 3d games.
