I'm having trouble running minecraft it's all blocky and gross i have an i7 GTX1080 and 32gb of Ram?

Did you try hitting it with a hammer? Sometimes the graphics card can get a bit glitchy when it's still in mint condition, so I'd hit the whole pc with a hammer.

Are you allocating enough ram (but not too much) in the.JAR file that runs MC? There's a startup script. Check the ram settings, you could use 2 to 4GB maybe.
Also, check that you have the right Java (32 bit vs 64 bit).
