Lost in Minecraft after resetting spawnpoint while exploring. How do I find my house?

So I decided to go out looking for a Woodlen Mansion with the Explorers map I got from a villager. I took a compass with me. My world was created on Survival.

The problem is without thinking I reset my spawn point with an extra bed I took with me so my compass always points to that area and when I die I get sent there so I'm stuck in the middle of nowhere. I was stupid enough to not check which direction I was going too so I can even use that and I don't know the XY and Z blocks to my house.

The only map I have is my Explorers Map and I'm still in the same spot on it as I started.

Is there anyway at all I can find my house despite all this?

Added (1). Yes but I think once a world is made in a certain mode certain features of that mode won't work. I've switched to creative mode before on my world but the flying ability doesn't work. The same with access to all items I can't open such a menu.

So switching to creative won't work because in a world originally created in Survival, switching to creative won't work.

Computer Of 2 Years has unmountable boot_volume error as well as several others?

It starts up with SMART Hard Disk Failure, Then will proceed to Automatic Repair, but will spin once and then goes to a black screen. If i press enter and continue with startup, it starts a looping circle and then goes to a black screen and continues to Unmountable boot volume error. I do not think the hard drive is dead, because i was able to boot up during these errors, and was able to play minecraft and paladins. I have windows 8 originally installed on the computer, but i upgraded to windows 10. Also, i have tried the f11 technique and it has done the following things:

loaded up to a black screen, but with a cursor
the fan has started really loudly, and blew for a long time until the computer turned off.

I think the hard drive may be sliding around in the laptop as it did use to freeze up when you would apply pressure to it.

It is a HP Pavilion x360. It failed all Hard Drive checks but passes on all others. Will be happy to provide error codes if necessary.

Looking for pirate-themed RPG PC game?

What I'm precisely looking for may not exist, but maybe I can find something close. It doesn't have to be a new game, as long as it plays on Windows 8.1. My computer is custom-built for gaming and can handle high-end graphics and RAM-demanding games. I would loveif I could find something through Steam; I searched but couldn't find it. I'm looking for a PC game that is RPG-style with pirates and/or high seas adventure. Elder Scrolls for the ocean would be close.

1. Open-world with as close to sandbox play as possible; I despise strict linear games where you go from Point A to Point B and that's it. Quests are fine, as long as the player can depart from the quest and go their own way when they feel like it, lol.

2. Single-player option. I don't have a lot of time to devote to playing and don't want other players waiting on me, or to deal with some of the world-class jerks I've encountered through MMORPGs.

3. Graphics don't have to be ultra-amazing, though I prefer not to have a cartoonish look. I don't mind Anime-style, especially Bishounen, but I don't like the blocky Minecraft look or Chibi.

4. I've had poor experience with early access games, but if there was something at the Beta stage, I would consider that as well.

5. I won't download illegally, so please no suggestions of torrent games, etc.

My favorite games are Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 3 and 4, Civilization V, Sims 3. I've played Sid Meier's Pirates, Pirate Cove, and Choice of Pirates already.

Why is my 9 year old cousin so sensitive to swearing?

He snitches on anyone who swears and makes a huge deal out of it. When he hears a swear word in a movie or book, he'll tell me not to watch it because it has a "bad word". He totally freaks out. He likes a few Minecraft versions of songs but he refuses to listen to the original lyrics or any other songs besides those because the original versions are "bad". He also thinks the words stupid, sex, or boobs are bad words too!
