Hi I'm looking for a video editing laptop. Under 400 dollars. It's not anything specific. I want it to be able to run stuff like after effects and photoshop etc and anything like that. I want it to possibly run small games like minecraft but it doesn't have to I really want it to edit videos. I would like portability and look alright because I don't want it to look ugly but that doesn't matter too much so thanks
I can install the launcher, but I can't open it. I was going to try one of the suggested methods that I saw other sites give, but I'm on a laptop I got from my school so there are a lot of things I don't have permission to change. I also have K-9 web protection installed, which makes it so I can't access any forums, or minecraft forge's website. I'm 13-years old, I've been playing for two years at least, and I'm getting really bored of vanilla minecraft. Please help!

Please don't give option about trying to get around K-9 or the school's denied permission. I'll get in trouble, it's illegal, and I might get kicked out of the school.

Hi. I know that Christmas is still, like, 2 months away, but I'm already thinking of what to ask for. I already know I want a desktop - my current laptop is slow and useless. Also the battery is messed up because I didn't know not to charge it overnight.
Here are a few things I'm looking for -
1. Ability to do schoolwork. I'm a freshman in high school and have to type reports and do computer-based presentations, etc. There's also the typical need for internet surfing and research.
2. Mild gaming. Right now I'm interested in playing Minecraft. This would probably be one of the few games I play on it, along with a few casual games on the internet.
3. Speed. I'm so tired of my laptop XD. It takes forever to turn on, off, or load any websites. I did a Minecraft trial on it and that was a failure… I just want something that's fast.
4. Not too expensive. My family isn't the richest… I don't expect for my parents to spend any more than 500$ for the monitor and everything. And that's just a random estimate. It might even be only 300 or 400. So an option for this budget would be awesome!
5. Reliability. This will probably be the only new computer I get for a while… Or forever. I'm serious. So I need something that can last me, maybe until high school is over at least.
6. The space it takes up doesn't really matter… A thin monitor is preferable though.

OK so me and my girlfriend wanna play some games. We're looking for fun free multiplayer games, maybe adventure ones? (Examples, league of legends and minecraft, etc.)
I'm looking for good games my computer can run.
I like all sorts of games, except for first person shooters and don't say minecraft.

I play Minecraft 1.8, and I decided to download Minecraft 1.7.10.Every world that I made in Minecraft 1.8 was the same in Minecraft 1.7.10, and when I opened a survival one, EVERY ITEM is lost, including the chests and my inventory!
I was trying to play minecraft 1.8 and a message popped up. It said it was caused by Java.lang.illegalStationException. Minecraft works fine on 1.7.10 but not on 1.8.
So, first of all, why is it so pixelated? How many levels are there? It's a pretty famous game, so I'll hop on the bandwagon. So, yeah. Answer the questions.
