My CSGO microphone doesn't work?

I run csgo a lot, I have 500+ hours and I have always had everything running fine. One day when I download windows 10 I load minecraft, everything is fine, I later play csgo, everything is fine. But when I restart my pc my csgo mic has changed. It sounds robotic, I tried going into my steam settings and it still sounds robotic. It is like this in the settings, ingame and in the que up lobby. My microphone works fine on teamspeak3 and Skype but the only problem is csgo.

Can anyone give me any direction to follow that could possibly help me?

Laptop recommendations for BSc (Hons) computer science?

Hi, I'm starting a computer science course and not being great with computer hardware was hoping somebody could recommend a laptop for me.

The laptop should be reasonable light, thin and small - nothing over 15" preferably smaller. Storage isn't too important as I own external hard drives that can be used if I fill the internal space. A good battery life is needed for classes and times when I'm not around a charger so preferably 5 hours or more. I know nothing about processors or graphic so I can't say anything about them.

The new laptop will be used for coding, watching TV/movies, browsing the web and occasional light gaming, I'll never need to run battlefield or crisis on ultra but I do occasionally play things like minecraft and team fortress so it would be nice to be able to run them with decent graphics. It must also be able to run smoothly when I'm running a good few programs on it (~4) as I hate having to wait for computer to catch up with me. Id like to keep this laptop for the next three years or so.

I'm replacing a late 2011 macbook pro (2.8 GHz Intel Core i7 processor and 4 GB of 1333 MHz DDR3 ram) which is starting to slow down so should be at least on par with this,

I'd like to spend around £600 though more can be spent if necessary.

What recording software should I use to capture PC gameplay?

I want to start a gaming let's play channel on YouTube, and I'm wondering, which capture software should I use to record PC gameplay videos? I use a Windows 8.1 PC that has a resolution of 1920x1080, is a 64-bit operating system, and has an installed memory of 8.00 GB (7.81 GB of which is usable). I'm planning to record videos of games such as Minecraft, Skyrim, Terraria, etc, so I will need a recording software that is compatible with my PC and with the games I want to record. Also, I would prefer a capture software that is relatively easy to use.

What computer would be good for gaming and school?

I would like a laptop thats good for gaming and school. It needs to be able to run PowerPoint, Excel etc. It should be able to run games like ARK, and Minecraft. So good graphics is a must, lots of memory (at least 4) and a good processor (i5 and i7 are pretty good)
