I just downloaded minecraft forge 1.7.10, and after the game is done loading the mojang screen doesn't show up, I would like to play with my mods but I need to know if forge works first. (Yes I know I don't need forge for mods).
Why won't minecraft load while running forge 1.7.10?

Okay, first make sure the version of the Forge is 1.7.10, then make sure you get an auto installer for forge because manually installing it can cause issues to minecraft. DON'T worry about the META INF in the forge folder it needs that in order to run. Then after you install it, a mods folder should pop up and you put the mods in there

Hit (Windows key + R)
Type "%appdata% and hit enter.
Find the folder named ".minecraft and delete it.
Redownload the launcher (or open the launcher if you still have it)
Make sure the forge version is 1.7.10 compatible
Use the Installer for the Forge Mod Loader (Note: you may need to launch minecraft 1.7.10 before doing this.)
Open the Minecraft launcher and navigate to where you select profiles.
Select the profile that is named Forge Mod Loader (or similar, not exact)
Hit launch and it should launch using Forge Mod Loader.
