How to install mod at minecraft?

1.Download and install Minecraft Forge
2.Download the mod
3.Put downloaded zip file into
C:\Users\[Your computer user]\AppDataoaming\.minecraft\mods on Windows
/Users/[Your user]/Library/Application Support/minecraft/mods on Mac folder
4.Enjoy the mod

Go to your search bar and type in forge minecraft then click the one that is at the top then go to downloads and hit installer then it will download then open that downloaded file then open minecraft play then log off and click install forge to minecraft then whaen that is done fine a mod with a.jar file or.zip and put it the nw mods folder in your.minecraft folder. To get to the.minecraft folder go to the start button and type run then clik it and type %appdata% and hit enter then open.minecraft and find the folder labbled mods that should appear after you install forge

First use must have a program to open the mineraft.jar folder. I recommend 7-zip as it is free and very effective.

Keep in mind, most mods require Mod-Loader or Minecraft Forge to work, so you will have to check on that on the page that you downloaded the mod from.

Once you have the mod downloaded, and Mod-Loader or Minecraft Forge installed, you're ready to install the mod. To do this, use 7-zip to open the minecraft.jar folder, it is found inside C:/*insert user name here*/AppData/Roaming/.minecraft/bin/. Once you have opened the minecraft.jar drag and drop the mod into the folder, (delete the META.INF folder found inside minecraft.jar if the mod requires it to be deleted) then close the folder and run Minecraft.

Now you're ready to play!

Depends entirely in the mod. If its an external mod, simply drag and drop the zipped mod folder into the mods folder in your.minecraft directory. If its an internal mod, it's a bit more complicated. Now to decided where to put the mod in the first place, look at the wiki or blog post from where you got the mod and they will usually say. I suggest you get 7zip or some other program like it first.
BEFORE YOU GO ANY FURTHER, BACK UP your MINECRAFT.JAR FILE!
Now if you have 7zip, right click on minecraft.jar and click 7zip -> open archive. Next open the archive of the zipped mod folder and copy all it's contense into minecraft.jar via the opened archive u open in the earlier step. Next close all open archives (just exit out all 7zip programs). Done! Test and make sure it works. If it crashes, thank god you have a back-up!
