How to download mod or map in the minecraft by a easier way?

If you want to add mods manually then the easiest option is to download ATlauncher, on the launcher you will want to install vanilla Mimecraft (this also installs Forge which will make mods work)

Then open up the folder, find the mods folder and drag and drop your mods in there and launch the game.

Maps you simply drag and drop them into the worlds folder and they'll appear when you select the world.
