Minecraft. What laptop?

I'm planning on getting a new laptop but not quite sure what laptop to get! I'm planning on spending around 500£.

All I know is that I need intel core i5 and at least 4 GB of RAM… The rest I have no idea! I can easily do filter options on website for the intel and RAM but for the rest I have no idea, so what should I look out for?

Obviously I don't want a laptop just for minecraft (gaming), will mainly be using it for online browsing. I just love minecraft! (on the subject any other PC game recommendations?)

I'm well over-due a new laptop, mines so old I can't even remember what year I got it…

Any help is appreciated!

Ideally, it would be good to find a laptop with at least a quad-core processor (Intel i7 would be good) and of 8GB ram. Hard drive space isn't really a big deal since you can always upgrade it in the future and external drives are cheap these days. Minecraft is also very CPU heavy so having the best integrated graphics card is irrelevant (if all your playing is games like Minecraft).

I would suggest on finding a laptop with a good CPU as your priority (Intel i7 or any other quad-core) since it is impossible to change a laptops CPU. Ram and Hard drives you can upgrade in the future, so having 4GB of RAM and 500GB Harddrive is not a big deal in the long run.

CPU's most important when it comes to minecraft. It's actually a pretty tough process, having to make the world as you play and load everything in.

If you get one with dedicated graphics you won't have to run it on lower settings. Minecraft will run on basically any computer if you adjust the settings enough.
