My son wants a computer to play games such as Roblox, Minecraft and Pacman for Christmas but he is only 7 so I don't really want to buy a high specification one. If I buy a laptop would it be suitable for playing pc games? Is there anything I need to look out for when buying? Or do you think a desktop computer would be best? Feedback would be greatly appreciated.

If you have a home pc, I recommend pc for most of these games
I have played roblox and minecraft, and find it much easier on pc. If all you can afford is a laptop, I have a mid-high range and it's still pretty good

Depends on the laptop. A lot of people use the term 'laptop' to refer to Thinkpads and the like, but they run off of a specialized OS and can't run most games not specifically written for them.
Any real laptop, running a Windows OS, should have no issue running any of those games.

Should go with the desktop, and make it a shared machine between the two of you.
