Basically i went for a long adventure out and found a horse, and i was carying iron horse armour and sadle so i rode it the way i thought was home and i'm now lost. Any suggestions please?
I don't want to leave it behind because there's no horses around my house area.

It looks like you're going to use the Backtracking Method to get your horse back home. This is a semi-common method to find your way around. It didn't have a name before (at least, I think it didn't) so I made one up.
Anyway, the backtracking method involves securing your horse in a safe spot (a piece of fence and a lead will do, but you can trap him in a hole if you need to) and writing down the coordinates of said horse. Press F3 and you'll see the X, Y, Z of there you're standing. Y is how far you are from bedrock, so you can pretty much ignore it. Write down the X and Z, then teleport to your house. Again, write down the X and Z of your house, then return to the horse's coordinates and ride him/her back to the coordinates of your house.
