How do you make a house in Minecraft so that zombies don't break into my house?

Put the house high in the sky, zombies can't climb

Unless it's changed since I last played, zombies can't "break" into your house. They can get into your house if your walls or ceilings have holes (hence why you should use windows and doors), but that's it. They can't actually break anything.

Build it up off of the ground and use a ladder to get into it.

Zombies can only break down doors if you're in hardcore mode, if you are then use iron doors instead.

If zombies are spawning in your house then it isn't lit up properly, use torches to light up your house

If they spawn inside of your place, try lighting your joint up a bit. That or ensure that there's no darkened tunnels or whatnot under or in the area of your place (if you're on ground) where they can spawn and potentially get thrown into your house

While zombies will beat on your door in any version of Minecraft, they can only break one down in hardcore mode (or if mods are involved.) Zombies can't break down an iron door, so you can use that. You can also be creative and use a series of sticky pistons to move blocks as your door. Zombies don't bother normal blocks, so as long as you remember to close the 'door' this works well and seeing the door open can be awesome.

Another trick, if it hasn't been fixed yet, is to use the trapdoor glitch. Create a two deep and at least one wide pit around your house. Use a trapdoor 'bridge' to get to your door. When night falls, open the trap door. Zombies pathing sees an open trapdoor as closed, so they try to walk over it and fall into the hole.

Also make sure the interior of your house is lit will enough that zombies won't simply spawn inside.

Use Iron Doors or add a fence/wall round the perimeter. Look at guides on YouTube to stop those pesky mobs.

Make a tree house, but do put up defenses to prevent being overrun.
