Minecraft account confusion?
Microsoft & Mojang will provide all owners of the Java Edition of Minecraft ONE FREE KEY for the Windows 10 version.
In short, go to & hit login. Enter your e-mail address & your password (the same details you would use to log into Minecraft). In the "My Games" section, you'll see a "Minecraft for Windows 10" & it'll show you that you have a gift code for Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition for you. Just hit Redeem to get started.
IMPORTANT NOTE: You will need to be logged into your Microsoft Account (the one that you would use with Windows and / or XBox Live) to redeem the code & it will be PERMANENTLY BOUND TO SAID ACCOUNT UPON REDEMPTION! Therefore, you NOT share this code with anybody as Mojang will NOT give you another free copy (You'll have to pay for it at that point).
This promotion was originally a limited-time deal, but Microsoft & Mojang has made it a standard deal for the PC version (Buy the Java Edition, get the Windows 10 Edition for free)… Mostly as part of it's "Better Together" update deal as the Windows 10 Edition runs on the Bedrock Engine (with XBox One, Mobile & Switch).
