I made a xbox live account, but when I go on minecraft pe, it has a different gamertag. I go to Profile and click change gamertag and it goes to download XBOX but its not compatitable with chromebook. What do I do?

Correct. The different versions of Minecraft are not compatible with each other. They are completely separate programs.
