Finding ocelots minecraft?

I can't find any. I'm playing on easy, 1.7.9. I have resorted to forest fires to clear the jungle and help visibility. Any tips?

You should look deep in the forest/jungle sometimes they spawn around there.
(Burning the forest or jungle can probably kill them)

Ocelots are pretty rare. Try entering a jungle (that you haven't burned) carrying the fish in hand, that way they won't run if they spot you before you spot them.
