I can't find any ocelots on Minecraft?

I have the PC version meaning that one of the recent updates have allowed ocelots to spawn on peaceful mode.

Basically, I have been searching a jungle for ages. The jungle is rather large. I know how to tame ocelots and stuff.

Is there a possible reason why I can't find any?

You could always switch to creative mode quick and spawn loads and switch back, otherwise keep searching! Haha

They're pretty rare, chances are you just have to keep looking. It took me a while to find my first one too.

Both answers are great, but it could be an issue. Are you playing single or multi player? Is it modded or unmodded (if multi)

Its very hard to find ocelots. If you just want to spawn one in, click escape for menu, then click "open to lan" then click "allow cheats off" and it will change to on. Then click start lan world.

type in /gamemode 1 (to go to creative) and click "e" and search or an ocelot. Then you can go back to survival by typing in /gamemode 0

hope this helps

Ocelots spawn much like other passive mobs. Ocelots need grass blocks or leaves to spawn at layer 63 or higher. Since they are only native to jungle biomes, ocelots will tend to spawn in inaccessible areas, such as inside bushes. They may wander into other biomes that are close to the jungle biome, so one may be seen outside of its native biome. They also have a 1/3 chance of not actually spawning, making them somewhat uncommon. Players can also spawn ocelots via Creative Mode with the Ocelot Spawn Egg.
